Live Workshop with Hannah Makowski, LSW
Tuesday, July 29th at 5:00 PM | Virtual Event
The transition to college isn’t just a milestone for teens—it’s a major shift for parents too. Whether you’re sending your first child off to school or preparing for a quieter house as your last teen launches, it can feel like there’s no roadmap for what this next chapter looks like.
It’s a time full of unknowns. What’s your role now? How much support is too much? How do you hold space for your teen’s stress while managing your own?
That’s why we created the College Transition Toolkit for Parents—a workshop designed to help you prepare not just your teen, but yourself, for everything this shift brings.
What You’ll Learn
This live workshop, led by therapist Hannah Makowski, LSW, will offer you guidance, language, and tools to navigate the college transition from a place of confidence and care. You’ll learn how to:
Prepare emotionally for your changing role as a parent
Validate your teen’s fears and stress without over-functioning
Support independence while maintaining connection
Care for yourself through the emotional intensity of this process
You’ll also receive tangible tools and strategies you can begin using right away—at any stage of the transition.
Who This Workshop Is For
This space is designed for all parents and caregivers preparing for the college years. You may be:
Helping your teen create a college list
In the thick of applications and decisions
A few weeks out from move-in day
Or adjusting to your new role after drop-off
No matter where you are in the process, this workshop will help you feel more grounded, supported, and equipped to show up for both yourself and your teen.
