Creative Healing does not accept insurance directly.
You may still be eligible for reimbursement.
See the below information to determine whether treatment at Creative Healing may be covered by your insurance benefits.
What does “out-of-network” mean?
Because our therapists are specialty providers and offer care that’s based in evidence and results, not dictated by third party companies, we do not accept insurance directly at our center. This means that payment in full is due at the time of service. Our system automatically sends you an itemized receipt on the 1st of each month for the previous month’s services via email. This can be submitted to your insurance company for reimbursement.
How do I know if I have out-of-network benefits?
If you see the terms PPO, POS or out-of-network on your insurance card, you will likely be able to receive a percentage of the cost of services back in your pocket. If you see HMO, Medicare or Medicaid on your card, then you probably do not have these benefits. *Health Partners and Keystone First do NOT reimburse for our services.
What is the cost of services at Creative Healing?
We do our best to make care accessible while also balancing our limited availability and our own personal investments in advanced education and training that truly make us teen specialists. Typical fees are as follows:
Supervisors/Seasoned Specialists, $210 per session
Licensed Teen Therapists, $200 per session
Pre-Licensed Therapists with a Masters Degree in Counseling, $180 per session
Graduate Student Interns, $150 per session
90-minute groups, $75-100 per session
60-minute groups, $50 per session
*Range of fees is dependent on therapist level of experience and/or speciality certification
Check Your Benefits Before You Start!
Some insurance companies will not reimburse for pre-licensed clinicians or interns, despite a licensed therapist signing off on services. You might be able to get reimbursed for out-of-network therapy! Check using the tool below.
What is a typical length of treatment so that I can gauge my overall investment in this process?
The average length of treatment for most teens is about 24 sessions of weekly treatment. Often times teens will then gradually transition out of care with every-other week sessions and sometimes then monthly check-ins. Our job is to work ourselves out of a job! We do not believe that life-long treatment is necessary and opt instead to help your teen learn and practice the skills they need now so that they can be their own brain coach for a lifetime!
Can I be seen less frequently to decrease the cost?
We ask for a weekly commitment at least through the first 4 weeks while we are still getting to know you and assessing your reason for entering therapy. At around your third or fourth session, your therapist will review a treatment plan with you. This is the time to further discuss and agree upon frequency of care. Your therapist will educate you on their recommendation and how it relates to your goals or the type of treatment that is being recommended for you.
Can you offer a sliding-scale and discounted appointments?
Our therapists are not authorized to decrease or defer payment for services. As a specialty practice, each therapist sees no more than 18 individual clients per week as their full-time job and primary focus. This means your teen benefits from happy, skilled and fulfilled therapists that provide concentrated time and personalized attention to focus on quality care for your family. Due to the limited spaces available, we are unable to discount fees. We encourage you to check your insurance plan and out-of-network benefits prior to starting with a therapist at Creative Healing to ensure the process is sustainable for you.
