Autism Assessments at Creative Healing
We offer Autism Assessments for ages 13+
Get clarity without being reduced to a checklist.
Creative Healing autism assessments use a neuroaffirming, story-based approach designed to understand how your brain actually works, not how well you perform on tasks.
Our Approach: The MIGDAS-2
The MIGDAS-2 is a structured, in-depth interview designed to understand a person’s lived experience, strengths, and patterns through conversation, not performance.
Instead of focusing on right or wrong answers, the MIGDAS-2 explores:
Special interests
Sensory experiences
Social and emotional patterns
Language and communication styles
This approach captures nuances that are often missed in standardized, task-based assessments and is especially helpful for individuals who have learned to mask.
Why This Matters for High-Masking Individuals
Many autistic individuals spend years working hard to “blend in.” While masking can help someone survive socially, it often comes at a cost—misdiagnosis, burnout, and chronic exhaustion.
Common signs of high masking include:
Mimicking social cues
Suppressing stims
Relying on social scripts
Hiding special interests
Minimizing sensory overload
Experiencing extreme fatigue or burnout
The MIGDAS-2 is designed to identify patterns beneath the mask, offering clarity that task-based tools often can’t capture.
