Animal-Assisted Therapy for Teens

Build Connection, Emotional Regulation, and Confidence,
Without Forcing Conversation

This Isn't Traditional Therapy. It's Therapy That Meets You Where You Are.

Some teens don't want to talk.
Others can’t find the words.
And for some, their brain just processes the world differently.
That’s okay—therapy doesn’t have to look like sitting on a couch and sharing feelings.

Our certified therapy dog, Yukon helps teens feel safe, connected, and regulated-often before they even say a word.

Why It Works

This approach is rooted in neuroscience, co-regulation, and compassion. Our animal-assisted sessions reduce nervous system overload and help teens reconnect to their bodies, emotions, and a sense of safety—without needing to say a word.

Animal-Assisted Therapy is Perfect for Teens Who:

✔️ Feel overwhelmed or shut down in traditional therapy

✔️ Are ADHD or Autistic or have sensory needs

✔️ Connect more easily with animals than people

Teens in Animal Assisted Therapy Will:

  • Learn to calm the body through sensory routines like brushing, walking, or animal care

  • Build confidence in 1:1 and group settings, without being put on the spot

  • Improve focus, flexibility, and communication-without being told to "try harder"

  • Strengthen language, executive functioning, and emotional regulation naturally, through interaction

Because our therapy dog need rest, sessions are limited and spots fill quickly.
