Is ADHD the Hidden Cause
of Emotional Dysregulation?

We offer ADHD testing for ages 13 through 60.

ADHD is not just about difficulty focusing at school.

It can also be a significant factor in more severe emotional and behavioral issues. If your teen is self-harming, has had multiple hospitalizations without improvement, or suffers from anxiety that isn’t responding to treatment, ADHD may be playing a role.

Identifying ADHD as a contributing factor can lead to a more effective treatment plan, providing the clarity needed to guide your teen toward stability and well-being.

You might typically associate ADHD with attention and hyperactivity challenges, but it also profoundly impacts emotional regulation and behavior. If you or your teen resonates with these struggles, understanding the complexities of ADHD can be life-changing.

Signs of ADHD Include:

  • Academic underachievement

  • Difficulty focusing

  • Impulsive behaviors, such as self-harm

  • Persistent anxiety

  • Rumination

  • Rapidly shifting or intense mood swings

  • Quick anger or irritability

  • Inflexibility and black-and-white thinking

  • Difficulty letting things go

  • Frequent daydreaming or zoning out

WHY IS NOW THE TIME TO GET ANSWERS?

For highly sensitive and impulsive individuals, ADHD often lies at the root of their emotional ups and downs, contributing to issues such as depression, anxiety, and even self-harm behaviors.

Research shows that individuals with ADHD are at a high risk of developing at least one other mental health diagnosis by adulthood.

Early intervention and proper treatment are key factors in ensuring your teen's long-term happiness and success.

Through ADHD testing, we gain a comprehensive understanding of you or your teen’s profile, allowing us to develop a personalized treatment plan.

With help, you or your teen can:

✓ Develop emotional regulation skills to manage quick anger and meltdowns

✓ Cultivate flexibility and let go of black-and-white thinking patterns

✓ Improve communication and relationship dynamics at home and in social settings

✓ Gain impulse control and consider the outcome and consequences of actions

✓ Build resilience and learn from past experiences

✓ Unlock potential and design a brighter future focused on growth and success

Inside ADHD Testing at Creative Healing

At Creative Healing, we utilize QbTest, an FDA-cleared medical device backed by years of research, to assess and treat ADHD. This comprehensive testing can be completed in a 45-minute session for $300.

Here’s How It Works

  • You will have the opportunity to discuss background and provide important context for ADHD symptoms. This step allows us to gain valuable insights to inform our assessment and subsequent steps.

  • During the appointment, you will engage in the QbTest.

QbTest monitors the core symptoms of ADHD – activity, inattention, and impulsivity – during a 20-minute task.

  • Once the test is completed, we provide an easy-to-read visual report that offers valuable insights to teens and families as to the best path forward in academics, accommodations, and therapy options.

A certified QbCheck therapist will guide you through an overview of your ADHD profile and provide next step recommendations.

⚠️ Do you need ADHD testing for IEP or school purposes? ⚠️

Keep in mind that Qb Testing may not be sufficient in all cases. Full-scale testing with a psychologist offers a more comprehensive, though costly, evaluation. If you require ADHD testing for a specific institution, be sure to check their testing requirements directly. Many of our clients appreciate Qb Testing for affirming their lived experience and gaining diagnostic clarity, particularly when considering medication options.

It’s time to find out if ADHD could be affecting you or your teen.
