Treat Yourself Like a Cell Phone!

Self-care is so important especially during your teen years because there's so many pressures from going to school to managing friendships to navigating new relationships. The list just goes on and on.

What is self-care?

It’s the way you’re taking care of yourself on a daily basis, ,not just indulgences like going to the spa or getting a manicure.

At the teen support center, we tell our teens to treat themselves like a cell phone battery.  This always gets us a few funny looks!

Do you ever let your cell phone get to zero percent?

Probably not.

You get notifications and functions stop working properly, so you take action and give it a charge.

We monitor the battery and care for our phones when the charge is low.

We always make sure we have a charger handy anywhere we go.

We need to start treating ourselves more like we treat our phones!

Monitor your energy levels.

Make sure you always have an ability to recharge before you run out of battery.

Be sure you have everything you need to function properly everyday.

You are important and you are worth it!
