I'm Sarah Dell and I empower depressed teens,
helping them rediscover their inner strength to confidently navigate life's challenges.

Credentials and Expertise

I hold a Masters in Counseling and Mental Health from the University of Penn, with a focus on supporting student-athletes and high school and college students. I am passionate about supporting teens with depression, self-harm and suicidal ideation using evidence-based therapies to guide them towards healthier, more balanced lives.

Empowering Student-Athletes to Thrive

Drawing on my background as an athlete and experience at the University of Pennsylvania’s Sports Performance Department, I specialize in supporting student-athletes with unique challenges like performance anxiety, disordered eating, and concussion recovery. Using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), my goal is to empower athletes with effective coping strategies, stress management techniques, and goal-setting skills, fostering self-confidence, and a balanced self-worth. My approach is tailored to help athletes excel in sports, academics, and life.

Support for School Stressors

My experience with high school and college students has honed my ability to support individuals with academic stressors. I specialize in helping clients navigate test anxiety, cope with perfectionism, and manage executive functioning challenges. My passion extends to supporting teens and young adults in interpersonal relationships. Additionally, I bring expertise in ADHD testing and working with neurodivergent individuals. In our sessions, I focus on fostering better peer relationships and self-confidence, creating an environment conducive to personal growth and development.

Crisis Support and Enhanced Safety

I am dedicated to helping during challenging times, especially working with teens experiencing self-harm and suicidal thoughts, and their caregivers. My focus is on collaborative care to ensure safety and well-being at home without hospitalization when possible. I've completed intensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which enhances my skills in helping clients manage distress and emotions. As part of a DBT consultation team and progressing towards certification, I'm committed to applying evidence-based practices and high-quality care to guide clients towards a life filled with hope and stability. As a Masters Level therapist, I work under the supervision of Kaitlin Babyak (PC012246)

Beyond the Therapy Room

When I’m not working, you can find me watching a Philly sports game (Go Birds!). I also love embroidery, paint-by-numbers, and going for walks in nature.
