I'm Jessica Nopper and I help teen tap into thier creativity and learn effective strategies to navigate anxiety and self-harm.
My Approach
I specialize in working with teens facing stressful life transitions and those who are open to exploring new ways of managing painful experiences using healthy coping strategies. I hold a Masters Degree from Villanova University and I have a deep passion for providing support and strategies to teenagers who need guidance during challenging moments in their lives.
Building Resilience
Together, we'll focus on developing effective communication skills, healthy coping strategies, and understanding the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. My goal is to empower you to feel confident, capable, and in control of your life, even amidst difficult circumstances. Through our work together, we'll build resilience and equip you with the tools you need to navigate adolescence with confidence.
Safe and Supportive Space
Adolescence can be a time of intense change and transition. I am committed to providing a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, develop coping skills, and build resilience. Together, we'll identify underlying issues and patterns contributing to your difficulties and create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your unique needs and goals.
Specializations
My experience working with children and adolescents struggling with anxiety disorders has equipped me to best support teens in addressing symptoms of depression and anxiety. I am particularly interested in helping clients impacted by familial transitions, such as divorce, and advocating for their mental health needs during tumultuous times.
I have completed an intensive four-day training program in Exposure and Response Prevention (EXRP). This comprehensive training has provided me with a deep understanding of evidence-based techniques and strategies to support individuals in managing and overcoming the challenges associated with OCD. I aim to guide and empower clients on their journey towards improved well-being and a greater sense of control over their lives.
I have comprehensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and I am passionate about incorporating practical and concrete skills into therapy sessions. This approach is particularly effective in offering relief to teens and families struggling with self-harm and suicidal ideation. My focus is on providing strategies that can be readily applied to everyday life, fostering a path to recovery and well-being. As a Masters Level therapist, I work under the supervision of Kaitlin Babyak (PC012246)
Beyond the Therapy Room
When I'm not working with clients, I enjoy spending time with my family, catching up on my favorite TV shows and discovering new recipes for meal prep. Taking care of myself allows me to bring a refreshed and focused mindset to our sessions.
