I'm Gia Simoncini. I help teens who have big emotions—those navigating anxiety, depression, substance use, and self-harm — to gain practical coping skills that make life better.

My Approach

I believe in creating a safe and compassionate space for you to explore your identity and develop practical coping skills. Currently pursuing my MA in counseling with a concentration in trauma from Arcadia University and holding a BA in psychology from Temple University, I bring a wealth of experience working with teens and young adults. With a strong foundation in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and specialized trauma training, I am especially passionate about helping clients who experience anxiety, depression, and self-harm.

Experience and Credentials

Working at an inpatient substance use facility, a psychiatric unit, and completing my practicum at a partial hospitalization program have prepared me to support clients through a range of challenges. I’ve worked with individuals facing trauma, addiction, emotional dysregulation, interpersonal struggles, anxiety, depression, and suicidal behaviors. I am committed to meeting clients where they are, recognizing their strengths even in their darkest moments.

Focus Areas

I have a concentration in working with teens who have big emotions—those navigating anxiety, depression, substance use, and self-harm. Through my internship at Creative Healing, I aim to continue empowering clients as I strenghen my skills in DBT, working with teens who have disordered eating patterns and providing support to high-risk teens.

Beyond the Therapy Room

When I’m not working, I enjoy watching movies, attending concerts, and spending time with my two cats, Mongo and Gracie.
