Learn how to better understand what you're feeling, build coping skills that actually work,
and develop the confidence to handle life's challenges
without feeling like you're constantly struggling to keep up.

Your Emotions Are Controlling Your Life

Maybe you're dealing with anxiety that makes everything feel harder than it should or you're feeling depressed, disconnected, or stuck. It feels like your emotions go from manageable to completely overwhelming in ten seconds flat.

You may know that something needs to change, but you don't always know what to do when your emotions take over.

You try to stuff it down and tell yourself you’ll deal with it later. You try to distract yourself. And sometimes, those things work.

Until they don't.

You find yourself thinking:

  • “Why am I reacting like this?”

  • “Why can't I just calm down?”

  • “What am I supposed to do when I feel this overwhelmed?”

  • “Why do I know what I should do but still can't seem to do it?”

You Don’t Have to Keep Figuring It Out Alone.

With the right support, you can learn to understand what's happening inside of you instead of feeling controlled by it.

Imagine being able to recognize what's happening before your emotions become overwhelming.

Imagine having actual tools to use when anxiety, sadness, anger, or stress starts taking over.

Imagine feeling more confident in your ability to handle difficult situations instead of immediately assuming you can't.

You can learn to respond to difficult emotions differently.

You can build a toolkit of coping skills that actually fits you.

And you can learn how to face challenges without losing yourself in the process.

Learn How to Understand Your Thoughts, Emotions, and Behaviors

When you're overwhelmed, it can be difficult to understand what's actually happening. Your thoughts affect your emotions. Your emotions affect your behavior. And your behavior can reinforce the same patterns you're trying to change.

Understanding those connections is an important first step toward doing something differently.

That's why I work collaboratively with adolescents and young adults to help them better understand themselves, identify patterns that aren't working, and develop practical skills for navigating difficult emotions and situations.

Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), I help clients build skills for managing emotions, tolerating distress, solving problems, communicating effectively, and responding to challenges in healthier ways.

I also use a strengths-based and values-focused approach, helping clients recognize what they're already doing well and identify what matters most to them.

Because therapy is about developing the skills and confidence to become more fully yourself.

I am currently completing my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) and working toward becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor. My supervisor is Samantha Crean, LPC.

I love helping clients develop dialectical thinking, connect with their inner wisdom, solve problems effectively, and learn how to care for their mind, body, and spirit.

When I'm not working with clients, you can usually find me playing the piano, reading, singing karaoke with friends, practicing yoga, or watching TV shows and movies.

My own mindfulness practice inspires me to help clients find more empowerment in the here and now, rather than getting stuck in what has already happened or what might happen next.
