I'm Gaby Borelli, and I'm here to help you transform your self-confidence and create a life that reflects your true potential.

Credentials and Expertise

I hold a Master of Art degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Immaculata University and specialize in working with teens with disorder eating patterns who exhibit perfectionistic behaviors and struggle with depression and anxiety. My approach is centered around helping you develop the skills and self-worth necessary for success.

My research concentrations during graduate school focused on the application of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (MB-CBT) in group therapy for adolescents in eating disorder recovery. I have also developed a group model using mindfulness-based interventions for the Association for Specialists in Group Work Conference. This unique background enables me to approach therapy with a trauma-informed lens and empower individuals to redefine their relationship with food and their bodies.

Specialized Focus Areas

I have a passion for helping those who struggle with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), social anxiety, disordered eating, and body dysmorphia. I also use body-based and grounding exercises to provide support for LGBTQ+ teens in effectively managing and mitigating gender dysphoria. My foundational training in Exposure and Response Prevention (EXRP) for teens with OCD equips me to guide you in breaking free from avoidant and perfectionist behaviors. Together, we will practice positive coping skills that enhance self-compassion and long-term emotional resilience.

I am trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy, a powerful modality for approaching and resolving trauma in as few as five sessions. By integrating mind-body tools and utilizing my extensive training as a registered yoga teacher (ERYT), I can teach you concrete and body-based grounding exercises that can be incorporated into your daily routine to manage anxiety and depression effectively.

Creative Approach to Healing

I firmly believe in the power of creativity as a tool for healing. In our sessions, we will explore various modalities such as meditation, movement, art, poetry, and journaling to tap into your inner resources and create new, healthy patterns. By taking a holistic approach that combines both the mind and body, we will cultivate self-awareness, positive coping mechanisms, and improved emotional well-being.

Beyond the Therapy Room

Outside of counseling, I find solace in nature as I explore it with my beloved dog, Tulsi. In my kitchen, I unleash my creativity by baking cookies and creating lasting memories around food with my loved ones. I enjoy reading poetry books, nurturing and collecting plants, practicing yoga, and finding unique accessories for my living space through thrifting.
